5/21 Blog 8: Take That, Elise!
I used what I learned from overplaying the keyboard previously and spaced out my practice sessions each day. I split them into halves so each one would be shorter. It felt so much more refreshing and I enjoyed practicing more. As a result, I learned a lot more of the song than I had the previous weeks!\
I also am continuing to learn more parts of sheet music. Something I forgot to learn but I have seen was the curved line that sometimes connects two notes.
I found out that it is called legato. They indicate playing the notes within the curve with no gaps in a smooth fashion.
Sadly, I do not have many blog posts left, so I have to decide what I am going to begin to learn next, whether the finished product is on this website or not. I am thinking of learning Fourth of July by Sufjan Stevens. He is an artist that I have come to love over the recent couple of months. I found some sheet music of it here. This website Musescore also contains a visual piano that shows which notes are being played and for how long, which would definitely come in handy.
This was really impressive Kev! You have made tons of progress since day 1 and I am so proud of you. Keep overachieving!
ReplyDeleteThese pieces are not easy, but it seems as if you are doing really well. I hope you enjoyed your journey so far, and you keep going to achieve all your goals!
ReplyDeleteReally cool kevin! It does sound a bit of off, but I think learning the notes and music sheets are more important. Really good job!
